Danielle's story.
Danielle: The Original Dirty D
The story of Dirty D started on Feb. 22, 1990. That was the day that a precious life entered this world. On that day in Loveland, Colorado Danielle Jean Becker was born. She was welcomed home by her three brothers, Matt, Glenn, and Adam.
We had no idea what was in store for us or how short a time she would be with us. Coming into a house full of boys was the cause of her "girly" nature. But not too "girly" because when you are the youngest of four and the only daughter, you tend to have to be a little tough and tomboyish too.
Danielle developed a sense of style through her artistic ways. She was an avid photographer, and her favorite subject was herself. She could turn "Selfies" into works of art that would make Andy Warhol jealous.
It was during high school that she was having a discussion with a friend in art class about being on the beach in California (her favorite place).
It went something like this:
Danielle, "Don't you hate it when you go to the beach, lay in the nice warm sun and get a great tan, only to come home, take a shower and see that your tan is gone?"
Friend, " That's not a tan "D" that's called dirt. You're just Dirty D."
The name was born. Over the next couple of years we dreamed and planned to open a dress store, or accessory shop, but time, life and the biggest problem MONEY, got in the way.
We lost her on Feb, 27, 2011 before the dream could be a reality. We had 21 short years. This was our dream with her, now we do it for her. She was the original Dirty D.
We miss you "D", you would have loved this!
